Tea House of the Net is owned and operated by Charles and Charlie Zieres, a father and son team. Our first experience with computers dates back to the early 1980's and an Atari 400. We were using and acting as systems administrators for bulletin boards, the precursors of today's Internet. We began using the Internet before web browsers were available, and Gofer and Veronica were the cutting edge tools for searching the Internet.

In 1996, finding it impossible to get dependable Internet access outside of a university setting, we opened our own ISP (internet service provider) to provide that access to our friends and relatives. Before the end of the year, we were also designing and hosting web pages.

Since the beginning, we have resisted buy out   offers, venture capital overtures, and wild IPO   schemes and managed to avoid the dot gone bust   of the '90's and continue to grow by supplying unique and dependable service.
